Just like an octopus, GMCIS moves with ease in a variety of environments, from underwater depths to work at heights, and in both wet and dry conditions. Thanks to its great flexibility and ingeniously designed tools, the company adapts to every situation to provide effective solutions, whether they are standard or innovative.
Specializing in confined spaces and demanding environments such as ATEX zones and hyperbaric habitats, GMCIS experts are skilled in advanced techniques and utilize modern technologies to ensure safe, high-quality operations, even under complex and multi-tasking conditions.
What We Do
Gabon MCI Services (GMCIS) is a young yet well-established African group with over 12 years of experience in the offshore shipping and energy sectors. The company offers specialized solutions in technically demanding fields, drawing on solid know-how and recognized expertise.
Its activities include, in particular, operations in aquatic and underwater environments (atmospheric and hyperbaric systems), work at height using rope access (IRATA procedures), operations in confined spaces and ATEX environments using technologies that do not require a direct human presence, as well as welding engineering services, metal prefabrication, and industrial maintenance. GMCIS also provides industrial chemical cleaning services, including anti-corrosion treatment and painting work.
To ensure reliable and safe services, GMCIS uses state-of-the-art equipment, supported by research and development (R&D), qualified teams, and local and international partners. Through rigorous Q-HSE training and strict on-site procedures, the company ensures a high level of quality, safety, and performance in all its operations.

🌊 Subsea Inspections
Automated hull cleaning and propeller polishing. Sealing of sea chests for valve replacement and pipe repairs.
🚧 Confined spaces
Ballast tank inspections on FPSOs. Sealing of propeller tunnels and cofferdams. Cold repairs to waste oil tanks, performed in accordance with classification society standards.
🚢 Ship repair
Dry welding approved by classification societies. Structural repairs to bow bulbs and hulls. Hull plate repairs under in-situ conditions (wet and dry).
🔧 Maintenance
Catamaran accommodation barge (501 cabins). Painting of rigging, extension of boarding platforms, load testing of helicopter decks. Periodic recertification of elevators.
🛢️ Tank Cleaning
Cleaning of fuel oil tanks on FSOs using automated UHF jets. Cleaning of diesel and waste oil tanks on jack-up platforms. Decontamination and cleaning of diesel fuel tanks on LCT/BLC vessels.
🏗️ Manufacturing & Industrial Services
Connection of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch gas pipelines to diesel/gas power plants. Repairs to conveyor terminal structures, metal welding, and reinforcements. Welding maintenance at onshore oil and gas sites.
